Blue Chrysanthemum Seeds, Rare Perennial Flower Plant
Chrysanthemums are the second most popular flower in the world after roses, and blue is one of people's favorite primary colors of flowers after pink. Blue chrysanthemums can be a refreshing addition to your garden landscape.
How To Grow The Seeds?
Firstly, loose the soil and then put your seeds in the soil in 0.3-0.5cm of soil, note that does not put them so deep and close in the soil. Secondly, check whether the temperature is fit for sowing these seeds in order to make sure they will grow. Thirdly, water these seeds, but not too often, once or twice a day. Finally, keep the soil moist and make them under the sun. They usually need 15 to 25 days to grow, so please wait patiently!
When to Plant Chrysanthemums?
Planting chrysanthemums in the spring gives the perennial plant time to establish and adapt to its new home. The root system becomes stronger throughout the summer and fall, which increases a plant’s ability to survive the winter. Planting in the spring will also result in a bigger bloom the following season. Although some fall mums can survive winter if planted immediately, the odds are much better with spring-planted mums.
How Hardy Are Chrysanthemums?
They are hardy in Zones 3 through 9. The temperature range is -25°F to 65°F approximately. They can also grow at more or less temperature, the temperature does not have to be exact for them to start growing.
How Much Sunlight Do Mums Require?
Chrysanthemums are sun-loving plants. Although they technically require only 6 hours of sunlight each day, the more light they receive, the better their growth, bloom and hardiness. Slight shade in hot, summer afternoons is appropriate in warmer gardening zones to prevent scorching. Mums bloom due to their photoperiodic nature. When the plant senses a change in the length of darkness in late summer, it begins to set buds. Planting near artificial lights, such as security lights or porch lights, can alter the bloom time of your mum.
